The next day proved to be amazing, early
morning 20 mins into the drive, flamingos at the soda lake
led us to hippos & then inter action between three lions
& elephants.
The elephants moved the lions on gracefully, while we were enjoying buffalo at close range. Then we realised the one lioness had spotted the one old buffalo limping; she casually approached her quarry across the muddy terrain. We held our breath as she eyed up the buffalo right in front of our land cruiser. Totally focused, only give away was her twitching tail. Her sister joined her, as they disappeared into the marsh grasses, elephants then joined us, what a start to the day.
