The safari to Tanzania really began with the flight
over the ngorongoro Crater. We travelled through Arusha, with
views of Mount Kilimanjaro to Ndutu safari lodge. Ndutu is
situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation area, on the edge of
southern Serengeti, conveniently close to the Serengeti national
park & Olduvai gorge.
Afternoon safari began with a wonderful bull elephant breaking up Acacia trees, my next encounter was a male lion relaxing on a dried out riverbed. A huge golden-maned male lion greeted us next, lying under an Acacia tree in the shade, which will make a beautiful painting in the near future. The landscape around Ndutu woodland is full of surprises, Thomsons gazelle, Grants gazelle, DIK DIK, zebra & giraffe, with truly stunning bird life.
